TRAININGS

Learn & Practice with CDR

Strengthen your skills—and résumé—with interactive courses based on real-world challenges.

CDR delivers training related to conflict resolution, collaboration, facilitation, and interest-based problem solving. We offer standardized courses for groups of individual participants as well as customized training workshops for whole teams and organizations. These are in-person, virtual, and blended training options, using interactive, facilitated learning experiences designed for public and community clients.

CDR’s instructors are seasoned practitioners who draw on their own project experience to bring learning to life. Because they have navigated the same challenges participants face, they are able to offer practical insights on applying new skills within real‑world organizational, political, and resource constraints.

Our Training Approach

Our training approach is grounded in adult learning best practices and designed to support effective practice in public and community‑facing work. We create dynamic learning environments that foster respect, curiosity, and thoughtful engagement, while centering topics that are directly relevant to participants’ roles and responsibilities. Through applied exercises, real‑world scenarios, and structured feedback, participants build confidence and competence in skills they can use immediately—supporting effective communication, sound decision‑making, and meaningful public engagement.

“I could have spent several more days learning — this was a great balance
of breadth and depth. I wouldn’t change
any of it."
