CDR’s Facilitation, Engagement, and Collaboration in Environmental Conflicts (FEC) is a three-day, in-person workshop offering practitioners a unique opportunity to enhance their professional skills relating to work in land use, disaster resilience, transportation & mobility, and water resources. This course equips participants with practical strategies and tools for facilitating complex discussions related to the significant issues of the present day including: climate change and community resilience, wildlife conservation, transportation infrastructure, water allocation, and beyond. Participants will

Who should attend?​

This training is ideal for leaders in government agencies, Tribal organizations and governments, nonprofits, and community coalitions, as well as professionals in transportation, land use, disaster resilience, and natural resource management. Skills covered in this training are applicable to individuals at all stages of their careers.

How many students and instructors are there?

For each training delivery, we cap registration at about twenty (20) participants and provide at least two (2) instructors. This ratio ensures that participants receive personalized, tailored instruction and have enough time to discuss the everyday challenges they experience in their work.

How much does tuition cost?

Standard pricing for a single participant is $1,300 USD. Early bird registration typically offers a 15% discount. Please contact our team to discuss discounted pricing for multiple participants from a single organization.

What is included with tuition?

Tuition covers three days of interactive, skill-based learning with experienced practitioners, physical copies of learning materials to follow along with during the training (i.e., participant guides, case studies, reference sheets), and light refreshments and snacks.

​

What is not included with tuition?

Tuition does not cover lodging or hotel accommodations, full meals (i.e., breakfast, lunch, or dinner), or travel costs (e.g., mileage, airfare, rental car, gas).

Where does the training take place?

CDR currently offers FEC trainings in Boulder, Colorado, and Portland, Oregon. We are exploring other locations and are open to suggestions; contact our team to let us know there is interest in your region!
